The natural occurrence of disease caused by Category A-C biothreat agents (i.e., Bacillus anthracis, Yersinia pestis, Orthopoxvirus and Venezuelan equine encephalitis) is relatively rare. Nonetheless, rapid detection of these agents is essential for effective control of disease outbreaks due to natural causes or as a consequence of intentional release.
TruArray BTA Kit provides a field-portable tool for simultaneously detecting Category A-C biothreat agents in a single test. TruArray BTA tests for multiple organisms simultaneously, which is particularly important as illness caused by many of these agents may present with common and nonspecific symptoms.
