TruArray tests are at the heart of Akonni TruDiagnosis® Systems, comprised of TruDx™ Readers, TruArray Tests, TruTip™ Kits for nucleic acid extraction and software for data analysis and reporting. By automating highly complex laboratory processes, tests performed on the TruArray platform perform multiplexed analysis of clinical samples and deliver results in 15 minutes for immunoassays to 3 hours for nucleic acid tests depending on intended use.

All of Akonni Biosystems tests are currently for Research Use Only, and are not for use in diagnostic procedures. Akonni is interacting with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in order to develop and prepare pre-market notifications seeking clearance to market these products as diagnostic assays in the U.S.

TruArray MDR-TB

The highly accurate and reliable TruArray MDR-TB test is the first portable, bench-top test to identify mycobacterial susceptibility to rifampin and isoniazid, using a single, workflow-integrated approach.

TruArray HE

TruArray™ HE is a qualitative test for the rapid detection of herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1), herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2), and varicella zoster virus (VZV) in cerebral spinal fluid. The test is for research use only.

TruArray MRSA

TruArray MRSA assay is a qualitative in vitro test for the direct detection by Staphylococcus aureus (SA) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

TruArray BTA

TruArray BTA is a field-portable tool for simultaneously detecting Category A-C bioterrorism agents in a single assay, including markers for Bacillus anthracis, Yersinia pestis, Orthopoxvirus and Venezuelan equine encephalitis.

TruArray BER

TruArray BER is the first field-portable microbial surveillance and indicator test for same-day testing and monitoring of environmental samples undergoing in situ bioremediation. The test detects 35 of the most common bacterial genera associated with in situ remediation of heavy metals, radionuclides, organics, chlorinated solvents and DNAPLs in a single assay, from a single sample.

Custom TruArray Microarrays

Akonni Biosystems’ manufactures custom low-density microarrays carrying from 5 to 200 micro gel-drops per array. Because of the aqueous nature of the TruArray gel-drops, compared to other microarray platforms, Akonni Biosystems’ Custom TruArray Microarrays provide more efficient molecular recognition events at a lower over cost per array.
